Here are pictures of bikinis that I like and that I would personally wear. Choosing the perfect bikini is tough because every girl's body shape is different. I found all of these on the ASOS swimwear section.
(I love the fringe. I think it's going to be big this summer)
(I think this bikini set is universally flattering)
To bigger bottom girls. I would stay away from patterns. Patterned bottoms draw attention and that's something you don't want. I don't think high waisted bottoms hides a bigger bottom. I think it does the opposite since they have more material. And I associate more fabric with the need to cover a larger body part. I would just buy a regular solid bikini bottom. Also, stay away from ruffled skirted bottoms. I think it gives the illusion of a bigger bum.
(love the top! it's super daring but it would create horrible tan lines)
To smaller bottomed girls. You would look so cute in those ruffled skirted bottoms. Take advantage of that. They are so cute and girly.
Some more I like:
More tips:
- Avoid tan/beige coloured bikinis because you end up looking naked
- Don't buy tops that are unpadded because it's embarrassing if you get cold
(if you know what I mean)
- Be careful with white bikinis and make sure they are lined properly
so they aren't see through when wet
- Wear sunscreen and use a big hat to cover your face
- Get a brazilian wax
I agree that second bikini would look good on everyone but my fave is the last one!

Yeah! the last one is super unique =) It's not too horrible for a tie dyed look haha
DeleteI agree, as a smaller chest girl, triangle tops are my worst enemy! Although, I actually find triangle tops are unflattering on all sizes also. I hate seeing a busty ladies wearing teeny tiny triangle tops; it screams trashy.
ReplyDeleteoh yeah! totally agree about triangle bikini tops on busty women. espeically if the triangle top is too small for them. yuck. that's why I usually buy a size bigger (to keep everything in place) so it's doesn't look too trashy.
DeleteI love the polka dot one!!
ReplyDeleteDon't forget about those of us who are too pale for whites and yellows :(

oh yeah! that's something I forgot to mention: pale skin tones. thanks hun!
DeleteGreat post - agree with all of it! Also big AND small bottomed girls should always make sure they aren't prancing around the beach with bottoms that are too tight or too loose - both ending up with a thong look!

This blog is garbage .. You have the worst fashion sense..the bikinis are ugly..
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to smile :)D
Then why are you bothering to read this garbage blog? lol
DeleteI totally agree with you about the extra fabric thing. Everyone assumes that's the solution for larger body parts. I love one-pieces, but I don't want to seem like I'm trying to cover something up. XD
ReplyDeleteohh I love asos! and the fact that it's free shipping just wins my heart lol. and yup, being not as well endowed in the chest area, totally agree with the ruffles!! :D

Hi! I stumbled onto your blog and found your posts to be a great time-waster. I have a mildly embarrassing question: do you have any recommendations on places to get a well-done wax in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland?
ReplyDeletehey! thanks for the compliment :) i'm glad these little post are enjoyable to you as they are for me to write them :)
Deletei go to TY beauty salon on Burrad and Howe. it's in the building on the south east corner on the 4th floor room 411. Christy there does a great job. She's super thorough it's $30 if you are her regular customer and come a lot or $40ish.
OK, I'll be sure to ask for Christy. Thanks!
