New York Trip pt 1

Hey readers. So I came back from New York a couple of days ago. I was gone for one week. I had never been to New York before so I did all the touristy things. I bought the New York City pass for $89 and went to the Met, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), American Museum of Natural History, Top of the Rockafellar Center, Empire State Building, and a cruise to see the Statue of Liberty. Each attraction is about $22-24. So if you do 4 attractions, you are already getting your money worth.

In Times Square, carrying a bag of fruit. Sidenote: I'm appalled at their lack of fruit selection and high prices for fruit in the US. No wonder Americans have high rates of obesity.

I stayed at the Ameritania Hotel located in Midtown Manhattan on Broadway and 54th St. This boutique hotel looks old from the outside but it's really new and modern inside. I highly recommend this hotel because of the location (very central), price (about $130-$150 a night before taxes and fees), it's 3 star (so decent standards) and it was renovated 2 months ago so the interior is really nice. The only con is: no free internet. That was $10 a day or $25 for 3 days.

I'll show you guys some of my pictures from my trip! The trip mostly was prioritized in this order: 1) Tourist Attractions, 2) Food and 3) Shopping. I didn't really buy much on this trip but I did walk away with two awesome things out of all the things I bought (will get to that later).

Lincoln Center

Okay, so I went here because of the hype. It's okay I guess. 2 hot dogs with onions and sauerkraut along with a creamy slushy papaya drink for $2.75. It wasn't amazing but it was okay.

Pretty Apple store.

On the boat to see the Statue of Liberty. It was so cold in New York when I went. There was so much high winds. I look like I'm wearing the same thing every day because of the same Mackage coat and Burberry scarf.

Hello there

This place has amazing and meat sandwiches!

The best sandwich was the pastrami and liver on rye. The corn beef on rye was good as well.

At the steps of the MET

A creepy painting. The Met was awesome! One of my favorite museums (I also liked MoMa) There was lots of neat stuff like: Georgia O'Keefe paintings (my favorite painter), Victorian styled rooms decorated with intricate decor, Greek and Roman statues, lots of European Christian paintings about Jesus, and more. It was so beautiful here.

The place for 500 calorie cupcakes. I bought a sea salt caramel one and an apple caramel crumble one... so moist and yummy but so bad for you.

Rockafellar Square beside the Rockafeller Center. You can go ice skating in the square. I think this is where the big Christmas Tree is usually at in December.
